For the 8th year running, Resource Refocus is coordinating the energy-related aspects of the Architecture at Zero competition, funded by Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Our team determines the competition’s technical requirements and provides a technical evaluation of submissions for the jury.

Architecture at Zero is a design competition presented by PG&E in conjunction with the AIA California Council to increase market awareness and professional interest in zero net energy building design. This year, the competition is partnering with California State University, Monterey Bay to design a new recreation center for a designated site on campus.

The competition, which is open to anyone and free for students, will distribute up to $25,000 in total prize money. Submissions will be reviewed by a distinguished jury of sustainability and efficiency design experts. This year’s jury panel includes Marsha Maytum, Gregg D. Ander, Paul Torcellini, Alison Williams, Lynn Simon, and Cole Roberts.

For more information and to register, visit Registration closes January 10th, 2019 and submissions are due no later than January 28th, 2019.
