Business Development Manager

Primary AREAS of RESPONSIBILITY

  • Review RFP/RFQ posts for relevancy.

  • Manage company information on opportunity posting and bidding platforms.

  • As needed, coordinate development of scopes and budgets for client requests.

  • Coordinate on-time completion of proposal and mini-bid responses.

  • Detailed reviews and proofreading of draft business materials and proposals.

  • Maintain up-to-date project descriptions and company materials to facilitate proposal development.

  • Support company budget and contract planning as needed.

ADDITIONaL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to client communications in a timely and professional manner. Support smooth client interface and team collaboration. 

  • Establish and maintain effective, professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other consultant teams working on client projects.

  • Identify, develop, and implement company tools and organization systems for company and client projects, as needed.

  • Deliver high-quality and timely results, reports, and other deliverables.

  • Maintain client confidentiality as needed. 

  • Participate in company planning processes, and support the development of operational plans, goals, and objectives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum of college degree or equivalent experience. 

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in business development and proposal management.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects with different timelines and deliver timely results. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work collaboratively and successfully with a range of personalities and people including coworkers, clients, subcontractors, other consultant teams, and members of the community.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated to be $35/hour, commensurate with candidate experience.

Staff members who consistently work at least half time are eligible for benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance. All staff members are eligible for the 401k with employer matching and flexible work schedule options.

Our main office is located in Berkeley / Oakland, California. We are currently working fully remote and are open to candidates who would work remotely.
