Rhys Davis is a Senior Technical Consultant at Resource Refocus LLC. Before joining Resource Refocus, Rhys worked as a graduate researcher for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s (SMUD) Building Electrification & Energy Efficiency R&D team, where he led an investigation into the barriers to and impacts of decarbonizing all existing multifamily buildings in SMUD territory, and helped develop a forecasting model for future carbon emission savings from all of SMUD’s distributed energy resource programs. He also worked as a graduate researcher at the University of California, Davis, Energy Conservation Office, focusing on building retro-commissioning and small workplace HVAC automation systems. Rhys earned his Master of Science in Energy Systems from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Ohio State University, where he focused on power plant water consumption and commercial building energy efficiency consulting.
